Chair, Financial Institutions
We discuss issues relating to banking and investments. We are looking at bidding on Public Funds and also adding an additional manner in which home properties can be appraised. Public Funds are public money like the tax revenue received by counties, cities and other local taxing districts that are held in a local bank. This legislation will allow banks to bid on the service provided to the local municipality including local banks and non-local banks as long as they have a physical structure in the taxing district.

Federal and State Affairs
Meets everyday 1:30 to 3:30 in Room 313 South in the Capitol Building. We discuss a wide variety of issues. We worked a bill concerning Grandparents as Foster Care Providers with compensation, In-State Tuition for illegal immigrants, Minimum age for marriage requirements.

Insurance
We discuss various aspects of the insurance industry, such as health, auto, and property.

Taxation
Just like it sounds we work bills relating to taxes.
